  • Management Consultant

    At HCPA, a Management Consultant conducts research, collects and analyzes data, assists in problem solving aspects of engagements, recommends creative solutions and completes project tasks within scope and budget. In addition, the Management Consultant will identify issues and communicate effectively with the project manager, work directly with clients to achieve project milestones, and participate in client and internal presentations. Management Consultants will contribute to the development of an extraordinary entrepreneurial culture, as well as help evolve internal tools, strategies, and processes within HCPA.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Create spreadsheets, presentations and other deliverables for client engagements using Microsoft Office Suite
    • Identify potential engagement sources and pursue potential add-on opportunities
    • Assist in proposal development and support marketing efforts
    • Manage day-to-day project initiatives
    • Participate in creation of client deliverables
    • Lead analysis of business and technical problems and work with team to create innovative solutions
    • Conduct in-depth research to support data analytics, as well as create and automate data dashboards for stakeholders
    • Effectively work to create a winning team environment, building positive client and team relationships
    • Work with leadership to identify issues and communicate effectively with engagement leader
    • Work directly with clients to achieve project milestones by participating in client and internal presentations and managing day-to-day client relationships
    • Understand and demonstrate best practices for quality data analytic activities and goals within healthcare
    • Use knowledge of healthcare or consulting background to assist clients in achieving maximum savings and efficient processes
    • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned


    Skills and Requirements:

    • Problem-solving/Analytic Skills: Strong ability to analyze business and technical problems, research and create innovative solutions. Capability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions is required. Intellectual curiosity and an ability to view old problems with a fresh perspective. Must be able to learn quickly and demonstrate creative thinking while being flexible with changes.
    • Communication Skills: The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. In addition, the successful candidate will possess credibility and “presence” with senior executives. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders and clients. Must possess a rapid agility to manage multiple projects and deadlines, reply to emails, or provide instructions of work stream necessities, issues encountered, and final results to team members in a succinct and informative manner.
    • Computer Skills: Must be fluent in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, project management software (e.g., MS Project) and flowcharting software (e.g., Visio).
    • Collaboration and Teamwork: Propensity for leadership, teamwork, flexibility, and self-directedness. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment across organizations in a fast-paced, schedule-driven and entrepreneurial environment. Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal direction.
    • Experience in healthcare setting preferred.
    • Knowledge of healthcare data systems preferred



    Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization (healthcare, mathematics, finance, business, supply chain management/engineering or computer science) plus 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in consulting, finance, or healthcare.


    Location/Travel Requirements:

    • Position is located in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area. Applicants must be willing and able to work at our Marietta office and at client sites throughout this region.
    • Travel will be required based on business needs (approximately 80% of the time).
